This panel or dashboard mounted assembly can be used for both lighting cigarette and for accessories such as GPS, 12 volt chargers or iPods. Works with all lighter plugs and all 12 volt style accessory plugs.

This listing is for one lighter socket, lighter plug, one accessory locking socket and mounting plate. The sockets have a heavy nylon UV resistant body and nickel plated metal parts. Vinyl opening caps produce a waterproof seal at the opening. Both sockets are designed to be vibration resistance. The terminals are male 0.250 or 6mm style crimp terminals. The socket mounts into a 1-1/8" hole. They are rated a 15 amps at 12 volts. Socket length from flange to the end of the terminals is 2.0".

A locking socket works with all accessory 12 volt style plugs including a locking plug. The locking, when twisted in the socket locks it in place so it can't vibrate out. See our other listings for this type of plug.

Two ways to mount this socket. It can be mounted against a panel that is up to 1-1/4" thick by using the socket nuts supplied. The nut tightens on the socket body to secure the socket to the panel. Or it can be mounted to even thicker panels by using the double compression plate with four screws. The plate goes over the front of the socket flanges and the four screw press the socket up against the panel from the front.
